A collection of essays written by contributing scholars, historians, family and friends who participated at the Case Western Reserve University conference on Woody Guthrie held in Cleveland in September 1996.  The conference was held as a part of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum's tribute to Woody, the first of their "legacy" series.
