Sponsored by the BMI Foundation, Inc.
New York City - 2010

In cooperation with the BMI Foundation, Inc., the Woody Guthrie Foundation is pleased to announce the Fifth Annual Woody Guthrie Fellowship program for 2010. The Woody Guthrie Fellowship program encourages applicants with research topics or themes that explore Woody Guthrie's creative work and contribution to American music and culture to apply. The application deadline is January 2, 2010.

A limited number fellowships, with a value of up to $2,500 (USD), will be awarded to scholars and other qualified applicants. The Woody Guthrie Fellowship aims to support research by helping defray the cost of travel to New York City and/or residency expenses during the Fellowship period. Fellowship awardees will be given the opportunity to utilize the rich collection of primary and secondary sources available at the Woody Guthrie Archives, the foremost collection of Woody Guthrie material in the world. Please note that all fellowship awardees are expected to fulfill specific requirements with respect to the dissemination of projects receiving support.
